A Man's Reach Should Exceed His Grasp
VHS "Presents the story of flight and our reach for new freedom through aviation and the exploration of space. From the Wright Brothers' flight at Kitty Hawk to the landing on the Moon and future missions to the planets, the tape depicts the fulfillment of the ancient dream of flight. Through the use of multiple images, the creative role of research is emphasized. Voices of scientists and statements by writers, poets, and philosophers document our search for knowledge. Narrated by Burgess Meredith."

American Student Moon Orbiter
"Initially championed by the NASA Office of Education and the NASA Ames Research Center, the American Student Moon Orbiter (ASMO) concept would offer, to next generation explorers, unique opportunities for hands-on involvement in U.S. space exploration. ASMO is currently conceived to be a 180kg satellite in a highly elliptic Frozen Lunar Orbit (FLO), carrying scientific instruments by which the students will perform lunar exploration activities of their choosing. As such, there are numerous opportunities for ASMO to serve as a valuable data gathering mission and technology demonstration that could enhance understanding of the lunar environment and advance the small satellite field.

As conceived the ASMO concept would be carried out as a diverse nationwide NASA education initiative with the fundamental premise that the university participants, and not NASA, would design, build, launch, operate, and own the ASMO spacecraft and its payloads. ASMO would also feature pipeline enrichment and succession planning via a mentoring system whereby ASMO university participants would mentor K-12 students in customized educational activities relating to the ASMO mission. Obtaining the necessary funding and in-kind donations to carry out the ASMO mission would be the responsibility of the university teams."

Return to the Moon
CLC mission simulate. "The year is 2015. For the first time since 1972, a crew of astronauts is returning to the Moon. This time, they plan to stay.

Their mission is to establish a permanent base on the Moon to observe and explore, as well as test the feasibility of off-Earth settlements. Navigating their way into lunar orbit, students must construct and launch a probe, and analyze a variety of data gathered from the lunar surface to select a site for establishing the permanent Moon base.

Students begin a new era in human planetary explorations during their mission to Return to the Moon."
